It’s another term for Conservative MP Ben Lobb in Huron-Bruce.
Lobb never broke a sweat all Monday night, saying early on that he felt confident in his party’s ability to govern the Country with a majority.
And a majority the Conservatives got, with the NDP becoming the official opposition.
Lobb says he worked even harder this election campaign, and while it was challenging in a riding this large, they’d been working at it since the previous election in 2008.
Lobb maintains that this was a pointless election and he says people are still more concerned with job losses and the economy.
He says the people he heard from on the campaign trail couldn’t understand why they were heading to the polls for the third time in five years.
Lobb says they’ve always had a degree of cooperation with the other parties and they will likely continue with that message, even with their majority government.

Conservative – Ben Lobb – 28,922 votes (54.7 %)
NDP – Grant Robertson – 13,417 votes (25.4%)
Liberal – Charlie Bagnato – 8,784 votes (16.6%)
Green Party – Eric Shelley – 1,455 votes (2.8%)
Independent – Dennis Valenta – 254 votes (0.5%)
Polls reporting: 232/232 Voter turnout: 52,832 of 77,743 registered electors (68.0%)
