It may be a Federal election today, but it’s work as usual for municipal politicians in Collingwood.
Council has a number of decisions to make tonight.
Councillors will look at raising building permit fees. There will be an update on the costs of enforcing the Building Code Act and staff recommendations for what the fees should be changed to.
Council will also decide whether to support the development of a pilot community garden after a staff presentation.
And there will be an update on the Central Park concept development process.
On March 28th, Council approved the partnership between the town and the YMCA to spruce up the park on Hume Street and enhance it as a multi use public facility.
Council will also decide whether to bring in a by-law to authorize a Site Remediation Agreement between Admiral Collingwood Development Corporation, Admiral’s Village and the town for the development at Hume and Hurontario Streets.
It’s been a huge hole filled with water for more than a couple of years.
The developers are looking at new plans for the site.
