The Conservative candidate for Bruce Grey Owen Sound isn’t impressed by the latest polls in the election campaign.
Larry Miller says polls are for hydro wires and dogs.
He doesn’t put a lot of stock in the election polls, and Miller doesn’t see a big surge in support for the NDP in the riding.
The latest Ekos Poll shows the Conservatives with 34 percent support Nationally, the NDP at 28 percent and the Liberals at 24 percent.
The Bloc and Green party are tied with 6.5 percent support.
Ekos poll projections for the number of seats nationally show the Conservative government reduced to 131 seats, while the NDP would have 92 seats and the Liberals have 63.
This new political math would produce a Parliament where the non-Bloc opposition would have 155 seats, a bare majority and 24 more seats than the Conservatives.
MP Larry Miller tells Bayshore Broadcasting News, he will keep working right up to the finish line.
He feels he has done a good job for his constituents and they will have to decide now whether to return him to Parliament on Monday.
