The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has now cancelled an Amber Alert for a three year old girl they say has been abducted. The child has not been found, but the alert has expired.
Leila Elizabeth May is described as being just over three feet tall and weighing 40 pounds, with blue eyes and long blond hair.
Police say she was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt, pink rain jacket, pink rain boots with rabbit faces and Spiderman underwear and socks.
Police believe the little girl was abducted by her mother, 21 year old Kristi Ann Barsanti — who is described as being five-foot-two, 115 pounds, with above shoulder dark brown hair with a red streak.
Barsanti has green eyes, but police say she wears blue contacts.
