Green Party Leader Elizabeth May will be making a virtual appearance in the riding of Bruce Grey Owen Sound tonight.
May will speak to voters through skype at local candidate Emma Hogbin’s office.
The meeting begins at 8 PM at the Green office on 2nd Avenue East.
May told Bayshore Broadcasting News when the campaign started that she would talk to local constituents through a video link.
And Hogbin says this is May’s commitment to the riding.
She says their visit is limited to 45 minutes because of May’s busy schedule.
Hogbin notes they will take questions from people before the meeting and she will also ask questions that have been given to her from the campaign.
And she says those questions have to do with health care and the economy.
Hogbin notes this is part of their environmentally friendly campaign — to use technology to reduce emissions that normally would come with her travel.
Hogbin has also reduced her paper trail in a campaign she claims has exceeded her expectations.
For those people who can’t make the meeting – Hogbin says they will post the video on their website, just as they have done with the all candidates meeting.
Hogbin is running against Conservative MP Larry Miller as well as Liberal Kimberley Love and New Democrat Karen Gventer.
