Twenty-five per cent of respondents say an election would be a waste of money right now in tough economic times, with one person pointing out the money could have been better spent helping the low income people in our country.
Another says it’s a waste of money when there’s nobody worth voting for.
Just 26 per cent of respondents believe the Conservatives are doing fine.
When it comes to the issues that matter to people in our community, 44 per cent of respondents tell us the economy and jobs is the most important issue.
Some say we need new policies to keep jobs in Canada, while others say if we don’t have a strong economy then health care will suffer.
Nineteen per cent name health care as the most important issue, with ethics getting 15 per cent of responses.
Twenty-three per cent of people have other issues at the top of mind — including agriculture, education, and the environment.
One person says the minority government is the main issue — because if we continue to elect minorities, we could continue to have an election every two years.
