You could see a lot of “mall walkers” out today in Owen Sound.
The Ontario March of Dimes is hosting the annual “Walk & Roll” charity event at Heritage Place Mall.
It’s the first time this event has been held in Owen Sound, and all of the proceeds are going to the Grey-Bruce Stroke Survivors.
Chair Jill Harris says it’s a support group for survivors and their families to get together, share stories, but also to get out socially.
The money raise helps those with disabilities and the peer support groups.
Harris says it’s easy for people to get involved.
She says anybody can come out and collect pledges to walk or roll themselves around the mall at their own pace for as long as they can.
The event runs from 10 AM to 6 PM.
