With warm temperatures and cool nights, the sap is flowing in maple trees throughout Grey-Bruce.
And there are two more maple syrup festivals to take part in if you haven’t had your fill of the sugary treat.
The Kemble Maple Syrup Tour takes place this Saturday as a fundraiser for the local churches.
Spokesperson Bonnie Howe says seven maple syrup producers are opening up to visitors, and they try to focus on teaching people how maple syrup is produced.
To take part, Howe says you can pick up a passport which will guide you to each location, and to two of the churches where you can have a maple syrup lunch.
The passports can be purchased at the Indian River General Store in Balmy Beach as well as the Kemble Post Office.
The tour runs from 10 AM to 4 PM.
In Holstein, the annual MapleFest takes place Saturday and Sunday.
Organizer Ray Love says they have plenty of events for the kids, including the reptile petting zoo, children’s performer Dickie Bird and Team K-9 demonstrations.
One new event on Sunday is the catapult competition.
There will also be a craft show.
The festival runs Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 2:30 PM.
The events are at the Egremont Optimist Club Sugar Bush Pavilion.
