The Special Investigations Unit has cleared Grey County OPP and has also concluded the owner of Grew Boats took his own life after a confrontation with Police.
The SIU says 61 year old David Cameron of Chatsworth took his own life in a wooded area north of Kemble on February 21st.
Cameron led Police on a chase that started with a shooting at Grew Boats south of Rockford and ended on the Taylor Side Road when his truck ran over a spike belt.
The SIU says he suffered a minor gunshot wound when police opened fire after he pointed a rifle at officers.
The SIU also says after Cameron went into the woods — a single gunshot was heard and police found him dead.
The agency says Police acted properly and were not involved in Cameron taking his own life.
The SIU investigation was separate from the shooting at Grew Boats Manufacturing on Highway 6 and 10 south of Rockford.
A 44 year old male employee of the plant continues to recover from a gunshot wound.
