Owen Sound Police have arrested a woman and a man after an assault downtown.
A 26 year old woman was arrested yesterday and charged with assault causing bodily harm after allegedly head-butting another female Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of a downtown fast food restaurant.
The 29 year old victim sustained a fractured nose in the altercation.
Police say their investigation revealed that the 19 year old sister of the woman who was arrested had been calling the victim names for several months.
The woman’s 24 year old boyfriend was also arrested.
Police say he shouted at the victim from across the street and made a threatening gesture that police perceived as a death threat.
A small amount of morphine and other drug paraphanalia was found on him.
He faces a bail hearing today.
