Another honour for Bayshore Broadcasting and its President and General Manager.
Ross Kentner is one of two recipients of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA).
Kentner has been with Bayshore Broadcasting for 50 years — starting as a news reporter before eventually becoming News Director and later General Manager.
Under Kentner’s direction, the company has grown to include seven radio stations in Owen Sound, Port Elgin, Goderich, Wasaga Beach and Orillia.
Bayshore Broadcasting has also won several awards for its news coverage.
Kentner will receive the honour at the RTNDA Central Region Awards Banquet in Waterloo on Saturday May 7th.
Former Citytv Anchor Mark Dailey will also be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the RTNDA.
Dailey died last year after a long battle with cancer.
