The Huron Kinloss budget for 2011 is headed in the right direction.
Mayor Mitch Twolan says they stand at just under 4 per cent and that’s just after the first draft.
However, the increase is already lower than last year which was a 5 per cent increase.
Twolan says they’ve looked at a few things and made some suggestions and the budget is now back in the hands of municipal staff.
The operating budget initially came in at 5.1 million dollars and the capital budget at 2.7 million dollars.
Another draft budget will likely be presented in late March or early April.
