The Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce is inviting the mayors to lunch.
The Annual Mayor’s Lunch is taking place Wednesday, February the 9th.
President Dave Moyer says this year they’ve decided to invite not only the Owen Sound mayor, but also the mayors from Georgian Bluffs, Chatsworth and Meaford.
He says the members of the Chamber of Commerce are not just from Owen Sound, and it’s important to give all of them a chance to have a voice.
The lunch is also open to the general public. Tickets are still available at the Chamber’s website — www.oschamber.com.
Moyer says they will focus on issues that can create economic growth for the entire region.
Moyer believes the area as a whole is an economically viable place.
He also says it’s important that municipal politicians remain accountable, not only to residents and individuals, but also to the businesses.
The lunch takes place at the Days Inn from 11:30 until 1:30 on Wednesday.
