The municipality of West Grey is increasing its presence in the online world.
Mayor Kevin Eccles says he’s been working with the local cable company to do interviews with different people around the community.
And now he says they’ve been able to put them online on the municipality’s YouTube channel, “Window on West Grey.”
Eccles says it’s important to keep up with new forms of social media because that’s how many people are getting their information.
He adds it’s important to keep on top of the advantages of information technology, and using the internet is another way to promote the municipality.
Eccles says the interviews focus on many interesting people and places throughout West Grey.
Eccles is hoping to someday take this idea to the county level.
He says they’ll monitor the success of West Grey’s channel, and from there try to do it with Grey County.
