The Southampton Snowmobile Club will be riding for a good cause today.
The 11th annual Brian Snyder memorial ride takes place all day to raise money for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Club member Scott Clark says over the past 11 years they’ve raised more than 30 thousand dollars, and are quite proud of what they can contribute.
Clark says the ride attracts a few hundred people every year throughout the day.
He says you don’t have to ride a snowmobile to take part.
You can drop by the club headquarters on the 14th concession in Southampton and join them for a hot beef-on-a-bun lunch, or take part in the poker rally.
All of the money donated will go to the hospital foundation.
Clark says a few local musicians have been known to show up in the afternoon and play some songs as well.
He says it’s a great time for the whole family.
The ride starts at 11:30 AM and continues throughout the day.
