There’s one easy number to call if you need to find out about any services offered in the Grey-Bruce region.
It’s 2-1-1, and it’s been around for about two years now.
Pamela Hillier is the Executive Director of 2-1-1 for Central East Ontario, and says the service is catching on slowly, but they are getting more calls.
She says the access and service has been “phenomenal,” and they’ve been able to connect a lot of residents with services they need in the community.
Hillier says the biggest program people are inquiring about now is for utility assistance, as many are struggling to pay for home heating costs.
But she says you can call to find out about any types of services in the community.
Hillier says the service is available 24/7 and it will be answered live.
