The snow hasn’t started falling, but this next storm is being called the biggest of the season.
Bayshore Broadcasting Weather Specialist John Wilson and Environment Canada are predicting 25 centimetres or more will start falling Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
Huron OPP Constable Joanna Van Mierlo says we have plenty of warning to start preparing for the storm now.
She says you should reschedule all non-essential trips and make sure you’re well prepared for a snow storm.
Van Mierlo says if you do have to be on the road, then you should prepare a winter survival kit in case you end up stranded.
You should keep a candle in a jar and matches, food and water, and proper clothing for cold weather.
And major snowstorms always bring closed roads — Van Mierlo stresses that you should never drive on a closed road because it’s dangerous and against the law.
She says they’re not trying to inconvenience people and the roads are closed for a reason.
