Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for our area and much of southern and central Ontario.
A major snowstorm is expected to hit by the middle of the week.
Some 20 to 30 centimetres of snow is expected, but some areas could get more and there could be blowing and drifting snow.
A low pressure system is expected to develop over Texas on Monday.
Periods of light snow are expected to develop over many regions on Tuesday.
Heavy snow will fall Tuesday night then taper off Wednesday afternoon.
