December was a strong month for real estate sales in the area.
Figures released by the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound show 107 homes were sold last month.
That is just one less than in 2009, and the best level since 2003.
For all of 2010, there were just under 22 hundred homes sold in the area, up five per cent from 2009.
:resident Trisha McKeeman says last year was not a record for real estate sales, but it was solid.
Meanwhile, the average price for a home in Grey Bruce Owen Sound area hit 222 thousand dollars last month — up five per cent from the same month in 2009.
McKeeman also says the overall average price in 2010 was up seven per cent, from the yearly average in 2009.
