Kincardine is about to welcome a new doctor.
Council has passed a bylaw — approving an incentive package for Doctor Lisa Denobriga — who will be setting up a practice in the community this Spring.
Kincardine CAO John deRosenroll says the doctor is a product of the new full time physician recruitment set up between Kincardine, Saugeen Shores and Bruce Power.
deRosenroll says Dr. Denobriga is coming from Western Canada but did not pinpoint exactly where.
The doctor will receive a basic incentive of 100 thousand dollars, plus a five thousand dollar relocation incentive and a two thousand dollar medical certification fee as well.
The new physician will be renting commercial office space at the Kincardine Community Medical Clinic.
