Two men face multiple charges in connection with a series of thefts from vehicles in the Balmy Beach and East Linton areas of Georgian Bluffs.
From the end of December until the third week of January — Grey County OPP investigated numerous thefts, most occurring in the middle of the night while the owners slept.
The OPP say many of the thefts were from vehicles were parked in driveways in a subdivision near East Linton, but more recently six unlocked garages were entered further south in the Balmy Beach area.
In all of the occurrences reported the vehicles and or garages were unlocked, which prompted Grey County OPP to alert area residents to lock their vehicles and secure garages.
An investigation resulted in the arrest of one man on January 23rd while police continued the search for a second suspect.
That second suspect turned himself into the Owen Sound Police Service who handed him over to Grey County OPP on Wednesday.
In total — 21 occurrences were attributed to the two 19 year old Owen Sound men who were arrested.
They face multiple Criminal Code charges including break, enter and theft, theft over five thousand dollars, theft under five thousand and possession of stolen property.
