More names are going in the hat for the Provincial PC Nomination ahead of this years election.
Lisa Thompson is the General Manager of the Ontario Dairy Goat Co-operative and she announced her intent to seek the nomination on Monday in Blyth.
Thompson feels Huron-Bruce has been left to the sidelines by the McGuinty Liberals and it’s time for the riding to get back to the table in Queen’s Park.
She says there’s too much focus on the urban centres in Ontario and the key to a good economy is having a strong rural sector as well.
Thompson says there was a capacity crowd at her announcement on Monday and she feels the support from all over across the riding.
Huron-Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan also just announced he’s seeking the nomination, while former Huron County Warden John Bezaire put his name in several months ago.
There is no confirmed date for the nomination meeting yet.
