The community of Walkerton has rallied behind a 10 year girl.
The Capitals Senior Hockey Team used their game on Saturday night to raise funds for 10 year old Jasmine Rutledge.
The Walkerton resident was diagnosed with leukemia in July.
Hundreds of fans dressed in orange and attended the game on Saturday night — and raised more than five thousand dollars for the Rutledge family.
The money was raised through admission by donation, a 50-50 draw, raffles and a head shave.
The Walkerton Capitals also won the game, 2-0 over the league leading Saugeen Shores Winterhawks.
