A Georgian Bluffs father has been charged in the death of his 13 month old daughter.
Grey County OPP have named 26 year old Robert Lauder as the man charged with criminal negligence causing death.
On November 5th of last year — Grey County OPP was notified by Grey County EMS that an ambulance had been dispatched following a call about a 13 month old baby girl with no vital signs.
The infant has been identified as Lauder’s daughter – Ava.
The Inter-Township Fire Department, Grey County EMS, and Grey County OPP all attended an address on Grey Road 18 in Georgian Bluffs within minutes of the call.
The girl was taken to Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre in Owen Sound where she was pronounced dead.
A crime scene investigation and the results of a post mortem resulted in the arrest on Sunday.
Lauder appeared in court Monday and was granted bail with a promise to appear in Owen Sound court on February 10th.
