Huron Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan is mulling over another direction in his political career.
Twolan has confirmed to Bayshore Broadcasting News that he has been approached to consider letting his name stand for nomination for the Progressive Conservatives in Huron Bruce riding.
Twolan says it’s premature to make an announcement right now but he is talking with family and friends as he gathers his thoughts on the matter.
He says the PC Association in Huron Bruce will be revving up its activities in the weeks ahead as they get set for the October provincial election.
There is one declared candidate for the nomination.
Former Huron County Warden John Bezaire has let his name stand.
Huron Bruce Liberal MPP Carol Mitchell has held the seat for the past two terms.
The provincial election is October 6th.
