It’s time for you to start talking about the future of your schools.
The first of a series of public meetings put on by the Accomodation Review Committee goes tonight in Kincardine at Huron Heights School.
Bluewater Board of Education trustee for Kincardine/Huron Kinloss says the committee wants to hear from the general public on what they see happening with our schools.
Johnstone says it doesn’t matter whether or not you have children in the system.
She says schools under review by this committee includes Saugeen District Secondary School; Kincardine District Seconday School; Huron Heights, Elgin Market and Kincardine Township Tiverton elementary schools.
Johnstone says the committee is looking for the best configuration of the affected schools in terms of programming, after they get public input.
This is the first of several meetings planned.
Johnstone says they’re looking for a more central location between Kincardine and Saugeen Shores for the remaining meetings which have not been set.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 7 PM at Huron Heights in Kincardine.
It could over a year for the final results of these reviews to be known.
