The Southwest Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) has created a 3.6-million-dollar priority project list — and not a penny of it is going to long term care.
Administrator for Gateway Haven in Wiarton Charlie Young tells Bayshore Broadcasting News he’s concerned that long term care was not part of the package.
Young says they have “mammoth” needs in long term care funding and they have sent a message to that effect to the LHIN.
He says they haven’t heard a word back.
Neverthless they are still pursuing asking if there’s another priority project list and is long term care on the radar.
