This Owen Sound girl has the true meaning of Christmas.
Hailey Muzzell suffers from a rare and progressive disease called moyamoya and suffered a stroke at the age of 4.
But the girl has found strength in helping other as she says she feels grateful for every day she has.
Hailey sent letters to all people that normally give her Christmas gifts and asked them instead to donate to a cause.
Hailey wanted to raised money for wells in a developing country so people could have clean drinking water.
Well…..people have responded in spades and she now has over 17-hundred dollars to be able to fund two wells.
She feels that the true meaning of Christmas comes from learning it is better to give than to receive and hopes others will follow suit.
The Grade 4 Bayview Student has nothing but humble remarks of her doings and feels its nothing special.
