Starting in January, Georgian College is going to offer alternative agriculture classes on a part-time basis in Owen Sound.
The idea was brought up during a recent meeting between Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller and several representatives from schools across Canada.
Miller says he is pleased to hear Georgian College is considering the introduction of such a farm program.
Miller notes the agriculture industry is very important in the region and the program will only benefit the community.
