In essence it’s why the Kincardine Airport Committee has decided to leave its hangar lease rates at 31-cents a square foot.
Kincardine CAO John deRosenroll says the lease rate is purely an economics decision.
DeRosenroll says the airport is open for business with the equivalent of four new hangars being built by two different applicants.
He says there will be more activity at the airport resulting in more fuel sales and should attract more applicants to build future hangars.
After much discussion — it was unanimously approved to revert the hangar lease charges to 31-cents a square foot, plus refund those who were earlier charged 50-cents a square foot.
