When it comes to home heating, some Grey-Bruce residents are left in the cold this winter.
To keep houses heated, Union Gas is again offering its Winter Warmth program to families that struggle to pay their bills.
Spokesperson Andrea Stass says the program is administered through the United Way of Grey-Bruce.
She says low-income families that are Union Gas customers and at risk of falling behind on paying their bill can apply to the program through the United Way.
Stass says they have 30-thousand dollars in this year’s program, which she says can help about 60 local families.
But she adds that if the United Way identifies a greater need, they will look at adding more to the fund.
Stass says customers who are approved for the program will see a credit of up to 500 dollars, or the amount they owe, applied directly to their bills.
