Home sales in November declined in the area compared with a year ago, but prices are still climbing.
According to figures released by the Realtors association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound, there were 122 properties sold in November — which is down 16 per cent from the same month in 2009
President of the Association, Karen Cox says while sales were slower, the average price hit nearly 229 thousand dollars.
That is up five per cent from a year ago and marks the highest monthly average on record.
Cox says even though sales were slower last month, it looks like the total for 2010 will see more home sales on the year compared with 2008 or 2009.
