Some change for the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors – but no change at the top.
And Cheryl Goetz has been voted President for another year.
The owner of Herbal Magic in Port Elgin was unable to attend Thursday night’s annual general meeting, but did leave a message for chamber members.
Goetz says she’s happy that the Chamber has maintained its consistent record of viability, and says all of the past year’s events and endeavours have proven successful.
She specifically pointed out Pumpkinfest as an “inspiring success.”
Goetz also addressed the fraud incident the Chamber was wrapped up in in early 2010.
She took the opportunity to ensure members that policies and practices are in place to guarantee the integrity of the Chamber, and staff have worked tirelessly to make sure checks and balances are in place.
Also serving on the Executive Committee for 2011 are 1st Vice President John Kirkham of Kirkham Construction, and 2nd Vice President Tom Evans of Port Elgin Super 8 Motel.
Outgoing directors are Marcel Legault, Gary Brown, Kevin Orr and Rob Brignell.
