If an emergency strikes, the Sauble Beach Community Centre will be prepared.
A hardwired generator is being installed at the centre by the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
After the installation of the generator, the centre can be used as an evacuation centre should there be an impending or declared emergency.
The Town and surrounding municipalities will all benefit from this project.
The project is being funded in part with money from the Ontario Joint Emergency Preparedness Program.
