The name of the pilot killed in a plane crash northwest of Hanover has been released.
72 year old John Davidson of Stoney Creek was flying a light Zenair aircraft when it crashed into Lake Rosalind just after 12 PM on Sunday.
The pilot had departed from an airport near Stoney Creek and was on his way to the Hanover Airport.
Transport Canada and the Transport Safety Board is continuing to investigate.
TSB Spokesperson John Hocttreau tells Bayshore Broadcasting News he will assess whether a more detailed investigation is needed.
He says they will know the answer to that within the next 48 hours.
Hocttreau confirms it was a Zen Air CH 200 model Ultra Light Plane that crashed into the water.
Witnesses observed the plane crash into Lake Rosalind Sunday about 40 feet from shore in 15 feet of water.
