The “Big Guy” in a kiddie’s world is visiting Port Elgin.
Santa Claus will be the star of tonight’s Port Elgin parade.
Heather Lorenz — the Community Relations Co-ordinator for the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce — says the parade begins at 7 PM at Elgin Street.
The parade proceeds south on Goderich Street through to Ivings Drive and the Giant Tiger parking lot.
Lorenz says the theme this year is “The 12 Days of Christmas,” and organizers are urging float participants to come up with their favourite day of the song and decorate accordingly.
She says besides the lights and pageantry, there will be a ton of music for spectators as well.
The Loch Lomond Pipe Band from Kincardine, along with community bands from Kincardine and Owen Sound will be taking part.
