A Hanover doctor is taking the ‘Movember’ challenge.
Medical Chief of Staff Doctor Robert Basilij is growing a moustache in the hopes of raising funds for prostrate cancer research.
Doctor Basilij calls it a issue close to his heart, as his own father has prostrate cancer.
He calls the Movember challenge a fun way to raise awareness and shed some light on a serious disease.
One out of every six men in North America men will get prostrate cancer.
And Doctor Basilij has challenged fellow doctors, hospital employees and patients to sponsor him in this challenge.
He says more research dollars are needed to help eradicate a disease that he believes will someday be preventable.
Doctor Basilij has until the end of the month to raise as much money as he can before parting with his new stache.
Anyone wanting to donate to the cause can contact the hospital or medical clinic for information.
