It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, especially in the Southampton area.
Heather Lorenz — the Community Relations coordinator for the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce — says tonight it’s Sparkles Night in Southampton and the tree will be lit in front of the Olde Town Hall.
The event gets underway at 6:30 PM and there’ll be plenty of Christmas Carols to start of the night from entertainers at the site.
Lorenz says as a matter of fact, the Southampton merchants have written their own version of the 12-days of Christmas which you can join in and sing at tonight’s event.
She says following the ceremonies at High Street and Highway 21, the merchants will be staying open until 10 so you can get your Christmas started and maybe even done.
In addition the Southampton Art Gallery has it’s gala opening on Sparkles Night.
