October figures show Georgian Bluffs building permits issued to date almost identical to last years.
However, Chief Building Official Bill Klingenberg says October statistics show an increase in the cost of those permits compared to last year.
For the month of October 2010 there were 26 building permits issued including eight new residential homes worth just 2.3 Million dollars.
Compared to October of 2009 — there were 21 permits issued with three new residential homes worth just over two million.
Year to date shows an increase of 4.4 million over last years figures with a difference of permits issued of only one — 242 in 2009 and 241 in 2010.
Total value of this year’s permits 18.5 million dollars compared to 14.1 million in 2009.
