It appears the OPP are finished with a site along Owen Sounds’ waterfront but they are not done investigating the disappearance of Lisa Maas.
Detective Inspector Ian Maule tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they did a thorough search of the site on 3rd avenue east when they were here last week.
However, Maule says no new items of interest were uncovered despite using heavier digging equipment.
The OPP head of Cold-Case investigations says tips are still coming in and police will be in the Owen Sound area doing follow-ups, but they do not expect to be at the same property again.
Lisa Maas of Owen Sound was 22 at the time she disappeared after a party in Sydenham Township in 1988.
Police maintain they have a suspect in the case — who has been a person of interest for several years — but he is not in custody at this point.
