As we get closer to Kincardine Council’s inaugural meeting, an orientation meeting for the newly elected will be held today.
Mayor Larry Kraemer says a meeting will be held at 1 PM today.
He says the town’s policies and procedures will be explained to the newly elected councillors and those who are returning that choose to attend.
Kraemer says it’s important that the newcomers review the issues so they hit the ground if not running, at least walking quickly.
He says the town’s policies and procedures have changed in the last four years, and it’s a good exercise to review them with those that have experience and those that do not.
Kraemer says it’s all in anticipation of council’s inaugural meeting which is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1st.
He says that meeting is more a social gathering with the swearing in of council and the assignment of seating arrangements around the council table.
Kraemer says very little business will be conducted at that meeting.
