A great success for the Regional Rec Centre Campaign in Owen Sound.
Thanks to last week’s special fundraising performance at the Roxy of “Hello Dolly!” – the total for the campaign has grown by 83 hundred dollars..
Rec Centre Fundraising Co-chair Sonya Mount says they are now over 40 per cent of the way to their community fundraising goal.
President of the Owen Sound Little Theatre Bill Murphy says they were happy to be involved with the cause, adding that the Rec Centre project is important to the future of Owen Sound and surrounding area.
Murphy says this is not the first time the theatre group has been involved in such a venture.
He points to the “12 Angry Jurors” production put on a while back in partnership with the YMCA.
