Another engineer’s report is imminent on the Paisley Inn structure in Paisley.
Word now is a third party engineer, who has no knowledge of what has transpired between the municipality and owner Burke Maidlow, will take a look at the building and present his report to both sides.
Arran Elderslie Mayor Ron Oswald says this moves makes a lot of sense.
Oswald says the issue has been dragging on and with a new council coming on board, it’s time to put this one to a conclusion.
He says both sides have agreed to a third party assessment of the condition of the building but Oswald believes even Maidlow thinks there are some sections that should come down.
This latest development comes on the heels of the recent announcement by Maidlow that the place is up for sale.
According to the listing agent, William Willard of Keller Williams Golden Triangle Realty in Kitchener-Waterloo, Maidlow is asking 295 thousand dollars for the Inn.
