A walk is planned for today in Owen Sound in memory of Wilbert Bartley.
The 50 year old man was shot to death by RCMP officers in B-C over the summer.
Organizer Sharon Skelly says the community has an opportunity to rally around the family and show their support.
The walk will begin at 3 PM at the downtown Farmers Market and proceed down 2nd Avenue East in Owen Sound to the Family Ties restaurant.
That restaurant is owned by Bartley’s sister.
It is not a fund raising event, and Skelly is hoping for a good turnout to show support for his family.
Meanwhile, the Calgary Police Service is still investigating the shooting and has not released many details about the incident.
A media relations officer in Calgary tells Bayshore Broadcasting News, a report should be issued by December 1st on the incident.
