It is the largest single display of nativities in the world and it’s in Walkerton.
For the 6th year the thousand nativities display is being put on at the Walkerton Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Organizer Flora Nabrotsky says the display is truly unique with over a thousand nativity scenes being donated from friends, neighbours and brought in from near and far.
Over 165 churches as well as schools throughout the region are participating.
Nabrotsky says there are many different forms of nativities this year everything from those made of onyx to toothpicks, glass to leather.
Some are larger than life and some are very small.
Nabrotsky says the set up is very tranquil with christmas carols playing and guests can roam through the display at no charge at any time.
The display runs until November 21st daily weekdays and Sunday’s from 1 PM until 9 PM and Saturday’s from 9 AM until 9 PM.
