Thousands of people across Canada will take the time to remember our war dead today at thousands of cenotaphs and Legion halls.
Last week, an MPP put forward a private members’ bill to make Remembrance Day a statutory holiday in Ontario.

Listeners we spoke to think its a good idea to have more time to reflect on the sacrifices made for us.
But one woman said she was was concerned that if we weren’t all at work with co-workers to pause with us for a moment of silence, many of us would probably forget or not take the day as seriously.
