The owner of the Paisley Inn is again trying to sell it.
After four years of ownership, Burke Maidlow has listed the Paisley Inn with Willard Realty of Kitchener-Waterloo.
The 145 year old structure is in need of a lot of repair work.
So much so in fact, there were several applications before Arran-Elderslie council and the courts to have the inn demolished.
Maidlow had been in the process of getting building permits and restoring the structure.
There have been claims the building is an immediate danger to the public, but two engineering reports conclude two different opinions on the matter.
The realtor’s selling pitch is that the inn can be converted by the “right person with vision” into anything from a condo or retirement residents, to a hotel or arts centre.
The asking price for the Paisley Inn isn’t listed, but the last time Maidlow tried to sell it, in July of 2008, the price was under 500 thousand dollars.
