This Hallowe’en weekend isn’t just about the ghouls and ghosts; a community preparedness fair is being held to help you get ready for emergencies.
The fair runs today from 10 AM to 2 PM.
It’s hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint as a community service at 2nd Avenue East in Owen Sound.
An open house format allows you to drop in and learn more about backup power, food storage and water purification.
You will also hear about 72 hour kits and how to operate ham radios.
A number of community groups will be in attendance, including the Canadian Red Cross, St. John’s Ambulance, the OPP and the Child Find program.
