The Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group has pledged 50 thousand dollars to the Regional Recreation Centre under construction in the city.
Group President Brian Seaman announced the gift during an intermission ceremony at Friday night’s Attack game in Owen Sound.
Seaman says the donation comes from continued fund-raising activity by members of the non-profit, minor hockey group.
He adds the need for additional ice facilities in Owen Sound is long overdue.
The current fund-raising total for the project is now over 1.67 million dollars.
