The new Director of education for the Bluewater Board is ready for the challenges ahead.
John Bryant was at his first formal board of education regular meeting recently and said he wants to work closely with the staff and trustee to learn the culture of Bluewater.
Bryant says he also wants to get out into the communities the board serves to gain input as well.
He says his focus will always be on the students and student achievement.
He says he wants to continue the excellent work that has gone on before him.
Bryant had little to say about a pending lawsuit against the board by several parents.
He says because its before the legal system, there is little to say.
Bryant says they’ll continue to monitor it and to work through the issues that have been identified.
The 35 million dollar lawsuit alleges bullying against four students that came from both other students and teachers at several schools.
